In a statement released on Sunday, President Trump's personal attorney, Rudy Giuliani, said that lawyer Sidney Powell is "not part of the Trump Legal Team," and is "not a lawyer for the president."

Powell, who has defended Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn against FBI claims that he made a false statement under oath, told the Wall Street Journal that she agreed with Giuliani's remarks but also said she intends to "expose all the fraud" involved in the 2020 election.

"Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own,” said Giuliani and fellow attorney Jenna Ellis, in their statement. “She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the president in his personal capacity.”

In a email to the WSJ, Powell said, “I agree with the statement today [from Giuliani]. I will represent #WeThePeople and seek the Truth. I intend to expose all the fraud and let the chips fall where they may. We will not allow the foundations of this great Republic to be destroyed by abject fraud.”

At Republican National Committee headquarters in Washington, D.C., last week, Giuliani, Ellis, and Sidney Powell presented evidence about the alleged fraud in the presidential election. Attorneys Joe diGenova and Victoria Toensing were also present on stage during that press conference.

Last week, Powell said, "I want the American public to know right now that we will not be intimidated. American patriots are fed up with the corruption from the local level to the highest level of our government, and we are going to take this country back. We are not going to be intimidated. We are not going to back down."

"We are going to clean this mess up now," she said.  "President Trump won by a landslide. We are going to prove it, and we are going to reclaim the United States of America for the people who vote for freedom."

On Nov. 20, conservative talk-radio host and constitutional scholar Mark Levin tweeted, "Sidney Powell’s a terrific lawyer working 24/7 under extremely tight time constraints to gather evidence from hostile, non-transparent parties. There are very serious questions about Dominion Voting Systems’ ties, security, and competence. I don’t have the answers."

"But prior to this election, many news groups did stories on the company’s problems, including PBS (in October), NBC, New York Times, USA Today, Canadian Broadcasting System, Huffington Post, among others."
