Conservative talk radio host and best selling author Mark Levin criticized some of the liberal media for seeming to side with Iran in the wake of Trump's decision to kill terrorist Qassem Suleimani. Levin verbally slapped NBC's Chuck Todd in particular, stating that he is like a "kind of modern-day Tokyo Rose."
On Jan. 5, two days after Suleimani and his henchmen were taken out by a drone missile in Baghdad, Chuck Todd grilled Secretary of State Mike Pompeo on NBC's Meet the Press.
Commenting on that exchange, Levin tweeted, "No doubt the terrorist regime in Iran loves Chuck Todd. He’s a kind of modern-day Tokyo Rose. But he knows as much about national security as he does so-called climate change, which is to say he knows nothing."
Tokyo Rose was a moniker given to several Japanese women who broadcast anti-American propaganda during the war in the Pacific, in World War II.
Levin further tweeted of Todd, "He's an agenda-driven Democrat Party ideologue. Predictably pathetic."
In another tweet on Jan. 5, Levin said, "THIS is NBC" in reference to a NewsBusters article entitled, "NBC Nightly News Turns Itself into Infomercial for Iranian Regime."
In reference to left-wing activist Colin Kaepernick apparently denouncing the Suleimani killing as an example of racism and "American imperialism," Levin tweeted, "Hey, moron. Iran is killing black and brown people. America is defending them. You’re nothing but trash."
In another tweet, Levin wrote, "Islamic Nazi [Suleimani] wanted an atomic cloud over Tel Aviv. Shame on Dems & their media. If they were patriots they’d be celebrating the president’s decisive action to eliminate this monster rather than giving aid& comfort to the genocidal Iranian regime.Appalling."
Also, on Jan. 6, Levin tweeted, "Democrat Party and media are Iranian strategic assets."
