"I'm the only one in my family has zero talent -- zero," former Vice President Joe Biden told "Jimmy Kimmel Live" on Thursday night.

The two men, communicating by video link from their respective homes, were talking about musical talent, but still, it was an interesting remark for the 2020 presidential hopeful to make about himself.

Near the end of the interview, Kimmel told Biden, "I understand you've prepared a song for us. Do you sing? I've seen President Obama sing," Kimmel said.

"I can't sing worth a damn," Biden confessed:

My dad used to -- my-my dad, who was a well-read, high-school-educated guy, used to have a band, and he looked at me once -- and he played the clarinet and the sax. And he said, 'Joey, I don't know where the hell you came from. You have no lip,' meaning I couldn't play an instrument. 'You have two left feet and you can't carry a tune in a wheelbarrow, but I love you anyway.'

I'm the only one in my family has zero talent. Zero.

'I can boil water'

Earlier in the interview, Kimmel asked Biden, "Do you cook at all? Do you help out in that area?"

Biden confessed to incompetence in cooking as well:

"I clean," he said. "That's my job. As my daughter said when we were -- when she was a little girl, she said, ‘You know, every year Daddy always comes home on Monday nights because Mommy goes to graduate school.’ Does your daddy cook?  She says, ‘He can only boil water and make pasketty.'

“That's the only thing I'm any good at, I can boil water and make al donte (sic) spaghetti. That's it.”
