If you care about the continued loss of religious freedom in our country, there is one thing you must do this weekend.  Go and (more importantly) take someone who is not as in tune to the problem with you to see God’s Not Dead 2.  Few things would be more powerful than this if we are to wake up America’s conscience on the issue.

Simply take a look at what just happened in Georgia.  A simple bill that would have ensured that no state agency discriminated against individuals or institutions for following their convictions about marriage was vetoed by Gov. Nathan Deal after unbelievable bullying by powerful companies like the NFL, Apple, Disney, Home Depot, Coca Cola and SunTrust.  These companies want to force the government to discriminate against any person of faith who dares to hold on to a Biblical view of marriage.

They don’t want such Christians in government or in their companies or owning any businesses unless they abide by their preferred definition of marriage.

Believe it or not, North Carolina is also under attack for enacting a bill aimed at protecting women and children by allowing the government to continue to use biological sex to designate bathrooms in government property.  You do not need much common sense to see that allowing men in women’s restrooms is not a good idea.  But common sense is gone.  Pro-LGBTQ activists are controlling the narrative, and they want real punishment for any person standing in their way.

IBM, PayPal, Apple, Facebook, Google, and many more are putting pressure on North Carolina.  Of note is that the NBA has threatened to move the All-Star Game which is scheduled to be played in Charlotte next year.

These businesses love Christians consuming their products, but they hate what Christians believe.  And Christians must simply bow to the Cultural Baal or face the full force of their power coming down on us.

Still, many Christians love these products and have a favorable view of these companies.  Some are just not informed; they are not engaged, consuming their news from shows like, the Daily Show, The View and the late night shows.  Other Christians can sense what is going on and are simply not willing to fight.  Others want to do something but feel powerless.

One thing can help them all: an experience with God through a movie like God’s Not Dead 2.

I am praying that this movie will have that effect.  I had a chance to pre-screen it not too long ago, and it is a powerful description of the desperate situation we face.  It depicts the story of a teacher being punished for daring to use the name of Jesus in her classroom.  It shows how the anti-Christian forces align very quickly to take advantage of the situation and how our silence is their best ally.

God’s Not Dead 2 has come out at just the right time.  We are at a turning point.

We have lost our North as a people.  We do not know the way of freedom anymore.  We don’t know what is right and what is wrong, and we are allowing a few malicious forces to take advantage of our confusion.  Our enemies from every side continue to take advantage of our moral blindness and continue to plan and execute our demise one small step at a time.

Do you see it?  If you do, then there is hope.  And you are that hope.  Speak out.  Spread the word.  Be bold.  Trust God.

And take everyone you can to see this movie this weekend.
