(CNSNews.com) —  Conservative radio host Mark Levin spoke of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) as an example of what happens with an "open immigration system" and a lack of assimilation on "The Mark Levin Show" Thursday.

“This is a woman who came into this country with her family as a refugee from the hellhole called Somalia, that’s correct. And all she does is rip our country,” Levin said.

“And I said then, which has been regurgitated throughout today, that this is what happens when you have an open immigration system. This is what happens when you don’t have assimilation into our culture. This is what happens when we assimilate into the cultures of the people who escape these different countries.”

According to Levin, this destruction of the country is being aided and abetted by the Democratic Party, media, and by tenured Marxist professors.

Below is a transcript of the segment.

"There is a high tolerance on the left, a high tolerance for bigotry, particularly Jew-hatred. And you see it growing in the Democrat Party. You see it with Ilhan Omar. I had the guts to get behind this microphone last evening and open the flood gates finally and explain that this is a woman who came into this country with her family, as a refugee from the hellhole called Somalia. That’s correct.

And all she does is rip our country. And I said then, which has been regurgitated throughout today, that this is what happens when you have an open immigration system. This is what happens when you don’t have assimilation into our culture. This is what happens when we assimilate into the cultures of the people who escape these different countries.

You have people who are elected to office, people who get significant positions in our culture who are insisting that we destroy our own country. And they are aided and abetted by the Democrat Party. And they are aided and abetted by the media in this country, and by tenured Marxist professors. And until we turn this around, it’s going to be very, very difficult to straighten out the country."
