Was CNN's Blitzer 'Turnt Up' - or Set up?

E! News' Alicia Quarles and CNN's Wolf Blizer introduced the "Blue Eyed Soul" tribute during last night's 2013 Soul Train Awards.

Blitzer described himself as, "A older white guy who likes to sing Chaka Khan and Stevie Wonder songs in the shower. Not that I sound good singing them, but I do it, anyways. And, occasionally, you know what I like to do the beat box and to the Dougie.

You know what? I like to get turnt up. And, you know what else? He couldn't be here tonight, but I hear Dr. Oz likes to get turnt up, too."

According to the Urban Dictionary, the term "turnt up" means

  • the act of getting drunk and high to the highest degree
  • getting loose {whether that be just being wild or engaging in sexual activity}

I'm not sure if this is a case of the producers of the award show taking a pot shot and making the white man look stupid, or Wolf Blitzer admitting on national television that he either gets drunk and high to the highest degree or engages in wild sexual activity.

Mr. Blitzer may wish to get an advanced copy of the text he'll read from the telepromper the next time he appears on a black award show so he can be sure what he'll later say is what he really meant.
