A waiter in Oakland, California was hit in the head with a hammer while attempting to stop a protester from smashing the windows of a restaurant.
"A Flora Restaurant and Bar waiter was hit in the face with a hammer and bleeding, according to tweets from reporters with the Bay Area News Group, which includes the Oakland Tribune and San Jose Mercury News. The same restaurant had its windows broken over the weekend in similar protests," reports the LA Times.
Here is a video uploaded by the Bay Area News Group on the incident. According to the reporter within the video, the waiter was hit with the hammer while attempting to stop a vandal from smashing the window of the restaurant.
