(CNSNews.com) - Giving a speech on energy policy at Maljamar, New Mexico, President Obama joked that his helicopter had landed at Roswell, New Mexico. Roswell is famous among conspiracy theorists owing to their belief that an alien spacecraft crashed near there in the late 1940s and that the federal government has been covering it up ever since.

"It was a wonderful trip over here. We took the helicopter. We landed in Roswell," Obama said. "I announced to people when I landed that I had come in peace. Let me tell you, there are more 9- and 10-year-old boys around the country--when I meet them, they ask me, 'Have you been to Roswell, and is it true what they say?' And I tell them, 'If I told you I'd have to kill you.'  So--and their eyes get all big. So we're going to keep our secrets here."

CNSNews Reader,

The media are hard at work weaving a web of confusion, misinformation, and conspiracy surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic.

CNSNews covers the stories that the liberal media are afraid to touch. It drives the national debate through real, honest journalism—not by misrepresenting or ignoring the facts.

CNSNews has emerged as the conservative media’s lynchpin for original reporting, investigative reporting, and breaking news. We are part of the only organization purely dedicated to this critical mission and we need your help to fuel this fight.

Donate today to help CNSNews continue to report on topics that the liberal media refuse to touch. $25 a month goes a long way in the fight for a free and fair media.
