Kyle Casson, 27, told the Mail he turned to his mother after his plans to use another surrogate fell through. Casson’s son, Miles, is now eight months old, according to the report.
“I was born being unable to have kids,” Casson told the Mail. “I can’t just go sex with a woman.”
The report states that Casson isn’t concerned about the ethics or morality of his actions.
“I understand that not everyone will agree with it, but they can have their opinions,” Casson said. “I have a son and I am very happy.
“As long as people can provide a home, and they have the support, I don’t see why anyone should be denied the right to be a parent.”
The Mail article also states that under British law Casson’s son is legally also his brother. British law requires that only a couple can apply for a parental order, so Anne Marie and her husband, Alan Casson – who gave his permission for the arrangement – are both listed on baby Miles’ birth certificate.
But Kyle Casson, who was adopted by his stepfather after Anne-Marie divorced his biological father, was able to legally adopt his son, according to the Mail.
The report also states that Casson, who works at a supermarket, is returning to work, and his mother will take over the child care duties.
