(CNSNews) -- Following Friday’s Supreme Court decision to overturn Roe v.Wade and Casey v. Planned Parenthood, House Rep. Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) said “to Hell with the Supreme Court” and Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y) joined protesters to chant “Into the streets!” In addition, some people suggested resorting to violence.
After the court’s ruling was released today about 10:00 a.m., pro-abortion and pro-life protestors gathered outside of the Supreme Court on Capitol Hill. Among the crowd were Representatives Maxine Waters and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
“The hell with the Supreme Court! We will defy them,” a visibly angry Waters yelled outside of the Supreme Court. “If they think black women are intimidated or afraid, they got another thing coming.”

“Black women will be out in droves,” she vowed. “We will be out by the thousands. We will be out by the millions. We are going to make sure we fight for the right to control our own bodies,”
After joining in on chants of “illegitimate!” and “into the streets!” Ocasio-Cortez said through a bull-horn: “We have to fill the streets. Right now, elections are not enough.”

Additionally, some alleged writers took to Twitter to openly call for violence as a means of protesting the decision.
“Voting didn’t work, time to try bricks,” tweeted author Emma Berquist.

The former Vox reporter also tweeted, “Fascists literally do not care how hard you vote. They are not trying to win elections. Violence is the only language they understand, and it’s time we start speaking it.”
